
Christina Applegate, born November 25, 1971, is an American actress. As a child actress she was recognized for playing the role of Kelly Bundy on Fox's sitcom Married... with Children (1987-1997). Applegate made a name for herself in the film and television career in her adulthood, winning the Primetime Emmy Award from seven nominations as well as nominations for four Golden Globe Awards and a Tony Award. Applegate played the title role on the NBC sitcom Jesse (1998-2000) that led to an Golden Globe Award nomination. She received the Primetime Emmy Award for her guest appearance on the NBC sitcom Friends (2002-2003). She was nominated by the Tony Award for Best Actress In a Musical for her role in Sweet Charity (2005). Samantha Who? was her next ABC sitcom. Later, she starred on ABC's sitcom Samantha Who (2007-2009) which for which she received two Primetime Emmy Awards as well as an Golden Globe Award; the NBC sitcom Up All Night (2012); and the Netflix drama series Dead to Me (2019-2022) where she received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
