
Kellie Pickler is one of "American Idol's" best graduates, even if she wasn't able to win the show's title. Kellie Pickler was born on the 28th of June, 1986 at Stanly Memorial Hospital Albemarle. Her parents are Cynthia Morton and Clyde Raymond Pickler. The time she was pregnant, her mother was sixteen years old. The childhood of Pickler was not easy as her father was addicted to drugs and alcohol, when Pickler's mother left her at the age of 2. Morton returned to take her custody for a couple of years, however Pickler acknowledged that it was not going well. "I was cooking with my mother, when I said to her: 'I would rather die than be in this place.' She took out a knife put it on the countertop, and I was told, "Here, you do it." Fourth grade. It's a shame that I didn't do something about it. It left a lasting emotional scar. Pickler at the time, 12-years-old, was handed over to the Morton's parents following the court hearing. Pickler was raised by her grandmothers throughout her lifetime. She credits them with being among the most influential persons within her lifetime. The year was January 2002 when her maternal grandmother Faye Pickler passed away from lung cancer. Her family was led by her grandfather. Pickler received her diploma from N Stanly High School, located which is located in New London, North Carolina.
